Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 July 2026

1. Who these terms are with

This site and the invoice generator are operated by InvoiceKit ("we", "us"), a small business based in New York. By using the site you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use it.

2. The free tool

The invoice generator is provided free of charge, with no account and no usage limit. Documents you create are yours: we claim no rights over them, and we never see them, because they are produced on your own device.

Because everything is stored in your browser, you are responsible for keeping the PDFs you generate. Clearing your browser data, switching device or using a private window will lose your saved settings, and we cannot restore them.

3. No professional advice

The guides on this site are general information, not accounting, tax or legal advice. Invoicing and tax requirements vary by country and by your registration status. It's your responsibility to make sure the documents you send meet the rules that apply to you. If something material rests on it, ask an accountant.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the tool to create fraudulent documents, impersonate another business, or to demand payment for goods or services that were never provided. Don't attempt to disrupt the site or the people using it.

5. Paid services

Setup, template design and billing services are quoted individually and confirmed in writing before we begin. Unless we've agreed otherwise in that confirmation:

6. Subscriptions

Paid plans are not yet available. When they launch, the terms covering billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds will be set out here before anyone is charged.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the site up but don't guarantee it. The free tool is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We may change or discontinue parts of it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost business or lost data, arising from use of the free tool. For paid services, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us for the work in question. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and the courts of New York have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms: hello@theinvoicekit.com. If something here seems unclear or unfair, tell us — we'd rather fix the wording than argue about it later.
