This site and the invoice generator are operated by InvoiceKit, a small business based in New York. The quickest way to reach a person is hello@theinvoicekit.com — we answer our own email.
Everything it remembers — your company details, logo, accent colour, saved services, document numbering and totals settings — is written to your browser's local storage. That is a store on your own device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data deletes it, and we cannot recover it for you.
The PDF is generated on your device too. The invoice you download never passes through our systems.
We don't run advertising, we don't sell or share anything with data brokers, and there is no third-party tracking on this site. If that ever changes, this page changes first.
The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Local storage, described above, is not a cookie and is never sent to a server.
If you engage us for setup, template design or billing services, you will share business information with us — client names, addresses and amounts. We use it only to do the work, we don't sell it or use it for marketing, and we delete or return it on request once the engagement ends. Where we use suppliers to deliver the work, they are bound by equivalent terms.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain uses. Email us and we'll deal with it. Because the free tool holds nothing about you, such requests will usually only concern correspondence.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and, for service clients, tell you directly.
